story

Arjuna is a simply ordinary living girl in today's Japan. She's going to high-school an has got a few friends. The best one of them is Tokio, with whom she wanted to go to the ocean by motorcycle. But there was an accident, during Arjuna died. In the twilight of death, she saw the future of the barren earth. In the netherworld she gets a second chance: If she would stand up for the fight against ecocide, pollution, hate and estrangement of the human-beings from their beginnings, she may retourn to life. Arjuna decides for life and wakes up again.

From now on the once Material Girl is now there as the Magical Earth Girl Arjuna, she prevents the total destruction of the earth: fights against pesticides and piles of rubbish - but offends.

The biggest danger for the planet are the mysterious ghostly creatures, the "Raajas". But Arjuna herself has now supernatural powers..
But how will the story end?

Juna Ariyoshi/Arjuna

She's the main character of the series, a normal teenage high-school girl, though older than other magical girls of other series. On the day she dies, she reborn and got some special abilities and powers and becomes the defender of the earth. She has to fight against the "Raajas", the slow destroyer of the earth, which reflect the global problems of planet: pollution and ecocide.
Later she can't even eat normal meals, 'cause she sees evertime the pesticides and chemicals in it. Additionally to that, she has problems of the ordinary life as well, and there's a deep conflict between these two seperate lives.
She isn't sure about her feeling about Tokio; she is melancholic and calm girl, which hasn't got a simple life..

Tokio Oshima

At the beginning, he is an ordinary, cheerful and bright boy, who is very intrested in Juna. He gets cannier later, when he understands which big problems Juna has got. He tries to support her, but sees, that he isn't really able to do that.

Chris Hawken

He is an important part of the S.E.E.D., an organisation, that fights against the destruction of the earth. At the beginning he had the power to give Juna a new life and also later he helps, supports and gives her advices in fighting against the "Raajas".

Cindy Klein

She is Chris' telepath, protective, unfriendly companion and Juna's main persecutor. She is always critizieing Juna for her faults.

Teresa Wong

She's the head of S.E.E.D., a serious and strong woman, who does everything in her power.

Sayuri Shirakawa

She is a girl in Juna's age and begins to date Tokio during the time.. Through that, Juna begins to doubt about his feelings.
